City Centre Properties: 2011 - 2024 ~  Owners Representative & Managing Agent

  • Owners Representative in all aspects of leasing, marketing and facilities maintenance for three commercial office buildings located in prime locations in Hamilton's central business district
  • Oversaw all daily revenue and expense obligations of the 3 enterprises - including extensive capital upgrade programmes, daily operating maintenance activities and all lease renewals
  • Managed local & overseas vendors to complete capital upgrades projects including: exterior roof replacement, interior common area renovations, installation of emergency generator, water filtration systems, new roof mounted AC units, upgraded water pumps, modernized security & access control systems, 
  • Landlords representative during tenant buildout requirements, including new kitchens, bathroom and decorative finishes
  • Managed all aspects of regulatory filings, including Planning application's & BFRS annual fire certification
  • Oversaw financial performance of the assets and worked closely with auditors to fulfill annual audit requirements
  • Successfully marketed and sold assets two assets to corporate investors

Tucker’s Point Club: 1999 - 2010 ~ Senior Vice President Operations

  • Coordinated many aspects of land planning, site layout, subdivision, building design, construction permitting, corporate repositioning, PR and communications
  • Primary corporate interface with Government Departments including Planning, Environment, Works & Engineering, Environmental Health, Land Valuation, Parks, and Marine & Ports
  • Selected and managed local and overseas vendors, consultants, designers, and service professionals
  • Prepared the Environmental Impact Statement that secured Planning permission for the hotel, spa and residential components located in environmentally sensitive areas
  • Negotiated contracts, leases, management agreements and employment agreements
  • Oversaw the termination of the Marriott Management Agreement
  • Successfully managed the sale of hotel assets and FF&E
  • Secured new operating contracts for telecommunications, infrastructure, security and property maintenance functions

Bermuda Land Development Company:1997 - 1999 ~ Vice President of Commercial Development

  • Mark supervised the preparation of a multifaceted Master Plan of the former US Naval Bases at Southside and Daniels Head including leasing and sales strategies, financial and investment modeling and developing marketing programs
  • Prepared reports for Cabinet review and conducted presentations to Bermuda Government
  • Negotiated and executed the lease for the Daniels Head tourism redevelopment
  • Executed short term licenses and long term leases between BLDC and commercial tenants

Ernst & Young LLP - New York City:1992-1997 ~ Senior Manager Real Estate Consulting

  • Managed teams of staff to prepare complex financial and transaction analyses, including spreadsheet and discounted cash flow, IRR, NOI and non-performing loan investigations
  • Conducted market due diligence on behalf of institutional banks and investment funds
  • Assisted with the disposal of over $1 billion of non-performing commercial real estate loans
  • Audited & restructured leases and negotiated revised terms and conditions on behalf of landlords and tenants in a volatile marketplace

  • Prepared complex financial analyses of commercial office, hotel and residential buildings
